Family Preservation and Reunification Practitioner Role

About this role

The Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Practitioner will assist the FPR Practice Leader with leadership of the FPR team.

This role involves contributing to high-quality practice through informal supervision, coaching, consultation, support, and training for staff and students. It also encompasses the development of services and quality improvement practices, as well as providing casework in the FPR team.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity within our Family Preservation and Reunification Response program.

The position reports to the Practice Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the FPR Practice Leader with leadership of the FPR team
  • Contribute to high-quality practice through informal supervision, coaching, consultation, support, and training for staff and students
  • Develop services and quality improvement practices
  • Provide casework in the FPR team
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions, family-centered practice with vulnerable children, young people, and families with complex needs
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and policies relating to child welfare and the Best Interests of the Child Practice Model
  • Highly developed skills in assessing risks, needs, and safety for vulnerable children, young people, and families
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, written, verbal, and computer skills
