Job Overview

We are seeking a Recreation Project Specialist to join our team in North Melbourne. As a key member of our recreation team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our recreation service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake recreation project work and tasks aligned with current and future organizational initiatives and objectives.
  • Support the review of recreation documentation to ensure procedures and guidelines accurately reflect current work practices.
  • Collaborate with the recreation team on various projects to assist with change management, including internal staff communication flows.
  • Assist the Recreation Manager in reviewing and developing new data and reporting procedures.
  • Coverage of Recreation Administration Assistant duties as needed.
  • Contribute to the implementation of business intelligence or data analysis tools and reporting solutions.
  • Work closely with the Quality Manager, Senior, and Recreation Coordinators to review and edit policies, procedures, and guidelines to reflect the most current information.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of the Housing and Homelessness Service sector, My Aged Care, NDIS, and other relevant service systems.
  • Knowledge of Recreation Principles and the importance of leisure and lifestyle outcomes, diversional therapy, or Recreation therapy.
  • Current driver's license (mandatory).
  • Working reliable vehicle (mandatory).
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to engage people from varying backgrounds.
  • First Aid Certificate II.
