Job Title: Mandarin Cantonese Interpreter

**Role Overview**

The casual interpreter will sit within the Language Services Department which reports to the Manager of Language Services. The role involves providing interpreting services for patients and staff, maintaining accurate statistics, and working collaboratively with Austin Health staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Interpret for patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken on the Interpreter Management System (IMS)
  • Work collaboratively with Austin Health staff

**Requirements:**

  • NAATI Certified Mandarin Interpreter Level
  • Extensive vocabulary in certified languages and knowledge of medical and health terminology
  • Experience as a Certified Interpreter in a medical setting
