Key Responsibilities- Provide expert interpreting services by telephone, video, and face-to-face for Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking individuals.
- Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken.
- Ensure adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
- Promote ongoing education and learning among Austin Health staff and patients regarding interpreting services.
- Collaborate with health service staff to ensure timely and effective services aligned with our values.
- Only NAATI Certified Interpreters will be considered; certified provisional interpreters with medical experience may also be considered.
- Comply with mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team is crucial.
