**Details of position**

Interpreters:

- **Provide high quality interpreting services for Mandarin and Cantonese speaking patients and Austin Health staff by telephone, video and face to face.**:

- **Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken.**:

- **Adhere to the standards of the Language Services Department as outlined in the Austin Interpreter Guidelines and Protocols.**:

- **Promote ongoing education and learning for all Austin Health staff and patients regarding interpreting services.**:

- **Work collaboratively with Austin Health staff to ensure a timely and effective service in keeping with Austin health values.**

Translators:

- **Provide high quality translating services as required.**

**Essential requirements for this role**:

- **Only NAATI Certified Interpreters will be considered. Certified provisional interpreters with medical experience may be considered.**:

- **Must comply with mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements**:

- **Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills**:

- **Experience in working in a health service**:

- **Excellent organisational skills**:

- **Able to work as part of a team**
