Our organization seeks a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will deliver exceptional claims management services that foster strong client relationships and drive industry excellence.
The role balances technical expertise with a client-focused mindset, requiring proactive engagement with clients and internal stakeholders. This position is ideal for individuals who can effectively manage client portfolios, analyze claims data, and identify trends to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen Client Partnerships: Develop tailored engagement plans and best-practice claims management strategies to build deeper client relationships.
- Proactively Manage Claims: Oversee client portfolios across all lines of business, ensuring decisions align with policy guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Turn Insights into Impact: Utilize claims data and expertise to identify trends and support new business opportunities.
- Share Knowledge and Expertise: Deliver training, audits, complex case consulting, and process improvements to enhance client capabilities.
- Stay Ahead of Risk: Analyze claims and market data to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Apply Technical Excellence: Ensure assessments and claim adjudications are rigorous, consistent, and compliant with regulatory frameworks and legislative requirements.
- Deliver Client-Focused Solutions: Develop and provide services aligned to client strategies and our organization's claims vision.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Significant technical expertise in life insurance claims, ideally across all retail and group insurance products.
- Minimum 5 years' insurance/reinsurance claims assessment experience, with peer or industry recognition advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian insurance landscape, products, and regulatory environment.
- Proven success in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering client-facing services.
- Experience in dispute resolution processes and rehabilitation/return-to-work in disability claims.
