Emergency Medical Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Emergency Medical Support Professional. As a key member of our emergency operations centre, you will play a vital role in responding to triple zero calls and providing support to vulnerable members of our community.

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for using assertive communication and problem-solving skills to guide patients through times of high stress. You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, with opportunities for part-time employment available after completing an initial 22-week training period. During this time, you will receive a Certificate III in Ambulance Communications (Call Taking) - HLT31015, which is paid for by us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to triple zero calls requesting ambulances across South Australia.
  • Use assertive communication and problem-solving skills to guide patients through times of high stress.
  • Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A current HLTAID001 - Provide First Aid qualification.
  • Ability to remain calm and solve complex problems in stressful situations.
  • Effective engagement and building trust with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Integrity, honesty, professionalism, and confidentiality in all dealings.
