Survivor Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to provide comprehensive support services for individuals aged 16 and over who have experienced sexual assault.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with survivors of sexual assault, providing crisis intervention and advocacy services, including referrals to support groups and legal assistance.
- Undertake research projects and develop education programs to enhance knowledge and understanding of trauma and its effects.
- Liaise closely with members of other agencies, stakeholders, and statutory authorities to ensure a coordinated response to sexual assault services.
- Contribute to the development of service goals and strategies through designated portfolio work.
- You will require an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of a recognised professional body in your field.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective counselling and group work services, prioritising the needs of clients.
- Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations, promoting client well-being and safety.
- Demonstrated expertise in long- and short-term counselling, group work, and community development, enhancing outcomes for clients.
