Job Title:

A social worker role is available at a leading healthcare provider, delivering high-quality services to women and children.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive one-to-one and group work services, including counselling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for individuals aged 16 and over who have experienced sexual assault. Undertake various research and projects, provide education and training programs, and offer referral information for those seeking support or legal assistance.

Requirements:
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services
  • Demonstrated capacity to undertake risk assessments with people who have complex needs and partner with them to develop sound safety and therapy plans
  • Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations
  • Demonstrated experience in long- and short-term counselling, group work, and community development
