Soft Fruit Commercial Lead

We're a leading Australian retailer trusted by communities since 1914. As a Senior Category Manager for Soft Fruit, you'll be part of our dynamic commercial team within Produce. Your role will be to manage one of the largest categories, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and driving profitable sales growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing category pricing, promotions, range selection, and product development
- Leading and developing a small team of direct reports
- Driving results and performance of your category through cross-functional collaboration
- Fostering innovation and implementing market-leading strategies
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders through negotiation and influencing skills
This is a complex position that requires an experienced Category Manager who can develop and implement market-leading plans across the portfolio. You'll need to possess:
- A thorough understanding of managing large categories
- The ability to generate new and original ideas and solutions
- Leadership experience to effectively manage a team
- Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- A dynamic style to operate in a fast-paced, customer-driven retail environment
