Supply Chain Expert Role

As a key member of the supply chain team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal availability of products within our national distribution centre. Your primary objective will be to collaborate closely with suppliers to manage purchase orders, ETA's and back orders, prioritising critical parts across your designated portfolio of SKU's.

To achieve this goal, you will work collaboratively with various departments including Suppliers, Orderbook Management, Product Management, Inventory, Demand Planning and Logistics teams to attain optimum product availability and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guarantee product availability within the NDC.
  • Optimise planning parameters for maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and address exceptions highlighted by the planning system.
  • Perform inventory planning, managing parameters and policies within set boundaries and targets agreed upon with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to confirm production and shipping schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain open purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries, handling all shipment tracking information.
  • Manage backlogs and potential bottlenecks within the planning cycle.
