">The role of the Marine Machinery Maintenance Specialist is to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of the vessel's engines and mechanical equipment.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary machinery in accordance with Planned Maintenance System (PMS) requirements.
">Additionally, the candidate will perform deck maintenance and rounds as required by the Chief Engineer, and work as the engine room Duty Engineer on rotation as needed.
">To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess relevant qualifications, including a relevant certification as per AMSA Marine Order 72 - Engineer Class 3.
">A minimum of 12 months' experience in a related role, including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power 750 kilowatts, is also required.
">Desirable certifications include Certificate of Safety Training (STCW), Work Safely at Heights Certification, Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification, and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
