Engine Watchkeeper Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to maintain the operational capabilities of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary machinery to ensure efficient and effective operation of the vessel
  • Performing deck maintenance and rounds as required by the Chief Engineer
  • Maintaining Self Unloading machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation
  • Maintaining the operational capabilities of the ship's engine
  • Any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time

About You:

  • Must meet the educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 - Engineer Class 3
  • Minimum 12 months relevant experience in a related role including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power 750 kilowatts
  • Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) is desirable
  • Work Safely at Heights Certification is desirable
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification is desirable
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
