Position: Safety Officer - WHS

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Acier Recruitment Group is representing a reputable construction firm that focuses on commercial and extensive residential projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Safety Officer:

  • Implement safety management strategies and objectives effectively.
  • Support in the investigation of accidents/incidents and help identify corrective measures.
  • Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Uphold safety regulations and promote best practices in safe work procedures.
  • Continuously review site-specific safety documentation for necessary updates.
  • Offer comprehensive advice and guidance to all personnel regarding health, safety, and training protocols.
  • Analyze safety performance trends within the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications for the Safety Officer:

  • Possession of a minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of establishing safety systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Proven understanding and application of relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation and standards.
