We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Work Health and Safety Officer to join our Operations Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key WHS documentation, including policies, procedures, guidance, and training material.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist expertise and advice on a broad range of WHS matters, including risk management and policy development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of WHS risk management and risk assessment activities within Operations.
- Develop strong strategic partnerships within Operations and across AMSA to implement a range of WHS initiatives aligned with the organisation's WHS management system.
- Conduct research and analysis activities to draft policy and other documentation for review and publication.
- Develop, deliver, coordinate, plan, and assess WHS training programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of the WHS Act and other relevant WHS legislation.
- Tertiary level qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or demonstrated experience in WHS risk management, policy development, and implementation.
- Excellent written and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate information and influence others.
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office, Share Point, and Teams or similar programs.
