Job Title: Vessel Operations Leader

Overview:
As a Vessel Operations Leader, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of vessels. You will be responsible for planning and executing vessel assignments, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and maintaining records of training and safety activities.

Responsibilities:
* Ensure safe navigation of vessels at all times
* Conduct required drills, training, safety meetings, and maintain records of such per company policy
* Conduct and ensure compliance with vessel maintenance and inspection requirements as prescribed by regulatory bodies
* Inspect vessels to ensure conformance with safety standards and maritime regulations
* Work closely with customers, pilots, and government agencies to ensure proper performance of the job
* Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of equipment failures, illnesses, incidents, accidents, and damages
* Maintain current knowledge of maritime laws
* Direct and supervise crew members in safe and productive operation of vessels, its machinery, and equipment
* Hold crew accountable for adherence to maritime law, company policies, and procedures
* Evaluate all crewmembers in accordance with Company policy and take action as necessary

Requirements:
* Possess and maintain a USCG Master 200/500/1600 Oceans or Near Coastal license, Master of Towing, STCW, Radar Endorsement, MMC, and TWIC
* 5 years experience as a Master or Operating Mate on towing vessels
* Valid state driver's license
