Transaction Settlement Manager

The Transaction Settlement Manager is a key opportunity to lead and oversee the timely and accurate settlement of financial derivatives transactions.

This role will provide strategic direction to a small team, with the flexibility to work from home or our office. The position reports to the General Manager Finance and involves leading negotiations with counterparties and AEMO regarding settlement disputes or queries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the transaction settlements team in contract and spot market settlements, ensuring correct revenue entitlement is received and accurate payment and receipt of spot and contract trading settlement amounts.
  • Negotiating with counterparties and AEMO regarding settlement disputes or queries.
  • Understanding the AEMO metering and settlements processes to ensure compliance with metrology procedures and standards.
  • Creating and confirming derivative trade confirmations, ensuring accuracy with deal ticket and ISDA conditions.

To be successful in this role, you will have sound experience working in a similar capacity within complex multinational organisations within the energy trading sector. You will be able to manage complexity to solve problems and drive results for the team and organisation.

A collaborative approach and ability to build and maintain positive work relationships while driving results are essential for this role.
