
Industry Capability Development Specialist

The role of an Industry Capability Development Specialist is pivotal in shaping the supply chain landscape. This dynamic position involves collaborating with industry partners and stakeholders to assess capabilities, drive growth, and foster innovation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Engage with Australian and New Zealand industry to identify opportunities and enhance the supply chain
- Work closely with the Strategy Team to review future business prospects and develop strategies for securing new opportunities
- Develop and implement plans to maximise participation of local industry in campaigns
- Support supplier capability uplift projects, focusing on Small to Medium Enterprises and diverse suppliers
- Draft plans for new business initiatives aligned with strategic directions
- Stay abreast of government policy impacting industry capability and ensure informed decision-making
- Champion local industry within the organisation, building positive relationships with functions, programs, and capabilities
- Conduct reviews of progress against plan commitments and provide recommendations for increasing industry content
- Examine commonality across programs, driving cross-program capability initiatives
- Support industry engagements related to industry capability as required
**Requirements:**
- Related experience (minimum 5 years) in supply chain development or industry capability, with demonstrated achievements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Engineering is preferred
- Project Management experience desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and stakeholder engagement
