- Provide client-focused, community-oriented, and sensitive care
- Assist individuals to maintain key organisational and other relationships, facilitating independent living
- Increase access and equity for clients within a collaborative recovery model of psychosocial rehabilitation
- Assist individuals to improve daily living skills
Provide support that is respectful, empowering, and inclusive

- Mentor clients in building productive relationships and using effective conflict resolution strategies
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of Cert IV in mental health or community services related discipline
- Demonstrated effective listening, empathy, and communication skills
- Experience in working with people experiencing mental illness
- Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people
This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding of the complexities of mental health. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and implement individualized support plans.
As a Residential Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with mental illness.
