Job Title: Care Manager

About the Role

Care managers play a crucial part in delivering high-quality care to residents. As a care manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical care is provided at all times, adhering to quality standards and organisational policies.

You will provide leadership and coaching to clinical and support teams to deliver quality resident outcomes. This includes working in a safe manner, following policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The successful candidate will also assume responsibility as 2nd in charge to the Residential Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high-quality clinical care is provided to residents at all times, adhering to Aged Care quality Standards and organisational policy and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to clinical and support teams to deliver quality resident outcomes.
  • Work in a safe manner, following policies and procedures, including IPC, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Assume responsibility as 2nd in charge to the Residential Manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly. You must have current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.

A thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards is essential. Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes is also required.

You will need to have comprehensive clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety are also necessary.

Prior experience working within a Residential Aged Care setting in a similar role is highly desirable.

Strong coaching/training skills and the ability to influence others are critical. A strong customer-centric approach to business and ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team are also essential.

Competent IT skills, including full Microsoft suite, are required. Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance is also necessary.
