Residential Care Program Manager

The Residential Care Program Manager oversees the daily operations of a residence, ensuring a safe and culturally appropriate environment for children and young people.

This is a hands-on role, with most time spent on-site in the home or within the community. The Program Manager leads a dedicated team of residential support workers, providing purposeful support to young people with high and complex needs in residential care.

The primary accountabilities of the role include coordination and oversight of administrative matters, promoting safe and stable accommodation for young people, and supporting staff through reflective supervision and guidance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting staff through reflective supervision and guidance
  • Leading performance management activities with staff when required
  • Collaborating with Therapeutic Specialist and Caseworker as part of treatment team, accountable for ensuring all responsibilities associated with care planning and behavioral management are up-to-date and communicated to Youth Workers
  • Coordinating all activities associated with the residential home, ensuring an emotionally positive and physically stable environment for staff and residents
  • Delivering effective operational, administrative, and financial management of the residential home
