Front of House/Food & Beverage Service Professional

State Theatre, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Front of House/Food & Beverage Service Professional.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of any performance or event. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to patrons, management, and fellow staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of all operations, policies, and procedures to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Assist management in administrative duties and theatre operations as required.
  • Maintain open lines of communication and ensure that all reasonable needs are met from the perspective of hirers, patrons, and theatre management.
  • Monitor patron activity and theatre facilities to guarantee maximum safety and comfort.
  • Participate in the set up and pack down of the venue and correct storage of FOH equipment.
  • Support tray service and sales throughout the venue when required.
  • Ensure presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained in all FOH areas at all times.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Undertake training in operational safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Able to take direction and work autonomously.
  • Strong customer service focus and time management skills.
  • Possess good roster flexibility.
