Key to success in this role is ensuring business units have necessary resources, at the right time and price.

The successful candidate will participate in strategy development for relevant sourcing activities, assist in developing and coordinating scope of work writing for contracts, and manage contract registers to ensure projects are executed on time to replace expiring contracts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in strategy development for relevant sourcing activities
  • Assist in developing and or coordinating scope of work writing for contracts;
  • Assist in developing evaluation scorecards and where required participate in technical evaluations of tenders;
  • Managing contract register ensuring projects are executed in time to replace expiring contracts;
  • Establish and manage appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders by being the key point for end user queries;
  • Ensure escalations, invoice price adherence and budget compliance is properly reviewed;
  • Assist and guide regarding pricing escalations and adjustments

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in a commercial, legal or engineering discipline
  • Several years' experience in a similar role in contract management, supply chain or commercial team
  • Having worked in an underground metals environment will be advantageous;
  • Experience in drafting and/or managing contracts, major equipment contracts, Site services and support contracts.
  • Extensive experience using computerised ERP systems; the use of SAP and/or Coupa will be highly regarded
  • Be able to work with and coordinate remote team members across different time zones.
