About the Role

The Health and Wellbeing Lead will be responsible for coordinating and delivering our wellbeing strategy, focusing on both mental and physical health. They will work closely with senior operations staff to deliver a successful People and Wellbeing strategy aligned with our values.

The ideal candidate will be a safety and wellbeing professional who is passionate about the mental and physical health of our workforce. They must understand change management and have the ability to navigate through the organization to deliver targeted initiatives that make a difference.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing the Health and Wellbeing strategy and plan
  • Developing and deploying key health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Implementing wellbeing and mental health programs to promote mental and physical wellbeing, partnering with leaders to embed best practice
  • Managing risk and compliance by developing proactive tools to manage risk, leading audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislations and policies
  • Creating a positive workplace culture by encouraging collaboration, building trust, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of HSE systems
  • Counselling and guiding employees and managers on company policies, performance management, and workplace relations
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to deliver impactful training and development initiatives
  • Maintaining employee assistance contracts and leveraging relationships to support the Health and Wellbeing Plan

To succeed in this role, you will require strong knowledge of workplace health, safety, and wellbeing management, including experience in HS compliance auditing and advisory services. Tertiary qualifications or a degree related to Health, Safety, Environment, or organisational psychology are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as advanced Microsoft skills in Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, are also highly regarded.
