**Job Opportunity:** Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Support Specialist
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and passionate cultural support specialist to work collaboratively with our team to ensure that our learning environments and staff are culturally inclusive.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level cultural support and assistance to teachers and students;
- Liaise with relevant teams to ensure course content accurately and respectfully embeds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives;
- Develop and coordinate activities and events relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students;
- Review the cultural inclusivity of our learning environments and identify areas for improvement;
- Provide advice on cultural awareness, competency or safety training to staff;
- Build strong relationships with local communities and organisations;
- Maintain data related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and the broader community;
**Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the education sector or Koorie organisational sector;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and community networks;
- High level communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong report writing skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience of enhancing cultural competency and fostering cultural inclusiveness;
