Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healthcare Specialist

The role of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker involves providing high-quality, person-centered care to young people aged 10 to 21 years.
Key Responsibilities:- Establishing strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and other stakeholders in a culturally safe manner.
- Monitoring and documenting individual client needs, changes in physical and mental health, well-being, and general progress.
- Collaborating with families and other key stakeholders to ensure a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to health care provision.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Holding a Certificate III or above in Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Understanding the physical, social, and cultural needs of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people.
