Job Title: Hotel Operations Director

We are seeking a seasoned hospitality professional to lead our catering services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage experiences to our residents.

Duties:

  • Evaluate and implement food safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage inventory and supplies, including negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal prices
  • Supervise and support catering services staff, including rostering and training to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to resident nutritional requirements and preferences
  • Oversee the operation of internal cafes to provide exceptional dining experiences
  • Lead innovation and quality improvement initiatives within the catering department to drive excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver services that meet designated standards and expectations
  • Manage efficient stock control and purchasing processes to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Lead the development of internal and external reports as necessary to inform business decisions and strategic planning

  • Experience leading and supervising employees and delivering against legislative requirements
  • Ability to procure high-quality and cost-efficient resources and negotiate with suppliers
  • Experience collaborating on developing, implementing, and managing programs
  • Ability to manage and respond to evolving situations with adaptability and resilience
  • Strategic thinking and ability to plan for the future with vision and direction
  • Maintaining and working within all work health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Experience working with diverse demographics and cultures
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to build rapport and trust with residents and colleagues
  • Drive to ensure quality service provision to residents and exceed their expectations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable but not essential)
  • Driver's license to facilitate travel and transportation
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating in large kitchen environments with a focus on food safety and quality control
  • Minimum of 5 years management and/or senior leader experience with a proven track record of success
  • Clear criminal history check, renewed every 3 years to ensure public safety and security
  • A passion for community and elderly care with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
