Job Title: Leading Hand Carpenter

We are seeking an experienced and skilled carpenter to join our team as a leading hand. This is a mid-senior level position responsible for leading and mentoring a team of carpenters and apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship and driving site productivity.

  • As a leading hand, you will be responsible for supporting the site foreman in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the construction site, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of carpenters and apprentices
  • Assigning tasks and maintaining high standards of workmanship
  • Driving site productivity and efficiency
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards
  • Accurately interpreting and implementing site plans and construction drawings
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, subcontractors, and project management team members
  • Managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials to support efficient site operations
Qualifications/Certificates
  • Experience in high-end residential projects
  • Cert III Carpentry qualification
  • Valid driver's license
  • White card
