About the Role

We are seeking a Training Specialist to join our People and Culture team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will proactively support and promote a culture of learning, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Training Specialist will facilitate the delivery and assessment of accredited and non-accredited training and development programs to internal and external stakeholders in the metropolitan and regional areas.

The ideal candidate will have a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and a flair for delivering and maintaining quality training competencies and services in a high-volume workforce.

Key Responsibilities

The Training Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing training plans to improve and drive training compliance in Victoria and Tasmania
  • Identifying, developing, and delivering training programs in an online and offline capacity
  • Developing and maintaining various training manuals as needed
  • Coordinating, creating, and implementing the digitalization of learning and training content
  • Providing regular reports and developing cyclical reporting metrics
  • Creating a training matrix, conducting a training needs analysis to identify training gaps, and providing direct training prospects
  • Engaging, coaching, and supporting leaders to facilitate and implement learning initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a background in a large-scale workforce environment (blue-collar experience will be beneficial)
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Excellent facilitation skills, both online and face-to-face, to frontline operations teams
  • A proven ability to build strong and effective interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders
  • Self-driven and ability to manage own schedule with conflicting priorities
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Willingness to undergo police check and other pre-employment checks
  • Open to interstate and intrastate travel in VIC and TAS
