DAF-Jones Lang LaSalle (WA) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Manager to lead and manage the financial month end, forecasting and budgeting cycles for a key client's high profile WA assets.

The successful candidate will have experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. A degree in Accounting and Property accounting experience are also required.

This role involves leading and managing the financial aspects of a commercial/retail precinct located in the Perth CBD. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and client servicing skills, as well as the ability to effectively deal with stressful situations and conflicting demands.

We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working hours and professional development opportunities.

Job Description:

The Business Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with JLL General Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure timely and accurate information is delivered
  • Driving consistency in format, delivery, and timelines across the client's portfolio
  • Establishing a strong financial relationship with key client stakeholders
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training team members
  • Leading and participating in monthly finance training sessions
  • Delivering a set of financial reports for the asset portfolio
  • Liaising with GM and client for month end reporting
  • Processing and approving journal entries
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performing annual tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations and liaising with outgoings auditors as required
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for 12 months to 5 years
  • Reconciling GST reports
  • Raising monthly management fees
  • Processing client remittances
  • Overseeing client dedicated trust bank account
  • Reviewing all purchase orders > 3 months for validity
  • Preparing client specific cash flow reporting – both weekly and monthly
  • Managing Fixed Asset Register and ensuring correct calculation and posting of depreciation amounts
  • Preparing with the input of the GM and maintaining outstanding financial lease incentive schedule
  • Liaising with client finance teams on all property accounting matters
  • Transitioning new properties into the portfolio and processing cease management of properties where required
  • Ensuring JLL's internal compliance process and procedures are adhered to, including preparation of 6 monthly internal audit checklists

Performance Measures:

The Business Finance Manager will be measured on their ability to:

  • Provide superior client service
  • Drive key relationships with the client to ensure consistent delivery of information across the portfolio
  • Input and drive key system upgrades and enhancements from a business perspective
  • Actively participate in pricing of bids for new work
  • Ensure timely transition of new assets onto the MRI platform

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Accounting
  • Property accounting experience
  • +4 years' experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • CPA qualified
  • Team management and leadership experience
  • MRI property accounting experience (ideal)
