We are seeking an experienced and skilled Drill Operations Manager to oversee drilling activities in our mining operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring mine safety and production targets are achieved efficiently.

\About the Role\

  • Oversee drilling and associated activities in accordance with established plans and procedures.\
  • Manage all safety aspects of drilling operations and maintain a safe working environment.\
  • Manage shift resources and manning levels to ensure sufficient quantity and quality of drilled stock is safely achieved.\
  • Evaluate and improve drill & blast patterns and equipment maintenance practices.\
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure quality outputs are achieved at all times.\
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to direct reports.\
  • Drive drilling techniques and procedures that promote zero harm and improve performance and cost efficiencies.\
  • Conduct regular reviews of drill consumables and equipment maintenance.\

    • The successful candidate will have experience in drilling operations management, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.\
    • A minimum C Class Manual Driver's Licence and relevant tickets are required.\
    • Previous supervisory experience and ability to read and understand mine plans is essential.\
    • Knowledge of WHS Act and WHS (Mines) Regulations is also required.\
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build positive relationships with colleagues.\
    • Prior experience with incident investigation and/or risk assessment processes is highly regarded.\
