The role of Academic Support Specialist is a part-time opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Job Description:We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our secondary students in achieving academic success.
The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to provide targeted assistance to students who require additional support.
This role involves planning and delivering instructional activities that promote language acquisition and comprehension for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.
Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group support sessions, adapting instructional materials, and supporting students in accessing classroom content.
Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment is also crucial in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience working with students requiring EAL support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
- Ability to plan and deliver instructional activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
