Your Role in Action
  • Spearhead Sustainable Solutions: Provide strategic guidance on positioning assets and land access agreements to support network development and management, ensuring seamless integration with renewable energy generation.
  • Foster Partnerships: Manage relationships with landowners impacted by major infrastructure projects, including transmission lines, substations, and communications towers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with internal specialists to deliver clear, actionable land access and approvals advice that drives project success, leveraging collective expertise to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Resolve Conflicts Effectively: Proactively manage conflict resolution to minimize disruptions, enable smooth delivery of works, and maintain Western Power's reputation for excellence.
  • Innovate Smarter Solutions: Contribute to asset placement reports by identifying opportunities, constraints, and landowner approval pathways, driving informed decision-making and strategic growth.
  • Drive Change Through Influence: Enhance easement, land access, and statutory approval frameworks to future-proof infrastructure access, ensuring long-term sustainability and adaptability.
  • Mentor and Develop Talent: Empower team members by sharing technical knowledge, fostering excellence in land access and approvals, and promoting professional growth and development within the organization.

About the Role:

  • Expertise Meets Experience: Hold a relevant degree or bring extensive hands-on experience in land access, easements, and infrastructure development, with a strong understanding of linear infrastructure systems and legislative frameworks.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in extracting, analyzing, and managing complex datasets across domains, with proficiency in geospatial applications and attention to data integrity.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of utility contexts and the complexities of land access and easement acquisition, with the ability to navigate sensitive community consultations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and promote collaborative partnerships.
  • Autonomy and Accountability: Proven ability to work independently under pressure, manage risks, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance across all project phases, demonstrating high levels of personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Field Readiness: Familiarity with construction, maintenance, and operational practices, backed by a valid WA Driver's Licence (Class C or C-A) for on-site engagement and effective field operations.
