We are seeking a skilled Land Access Professional to lead our land access team in negotiating agreements with mining tenement holders and pastoralists. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on land access, Warden's Court, studies, projects, and related negotiations and strategy across a portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on land access, Warden's Court, studies, projects, and related negotiations and strategy across a portfolio of projects.
  • Supervise a small team, providing ongoing support and coaching to enhance skills.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement and recommend potential solutions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding land access and contractual arrangements.
  • Assist with the maintenance of other relevant Land Access databases.
  • Provide ad hoc land access and strategic advice as required by the Manager Land Access.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as law, planning, environment, geology, commerce, or equivalent.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the WA Mining Act, Land Administration Act, and related resources development legislation.
  • Strong experience in drafting agreements and/or contract management, including tenement access agreements.
  • Experience using Mineral Titles Online and Landgate.
  • Experience using Tengraph, ArcGIS, or similar mapping systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and negotiating with external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title legislation.
  • Great attention to detail and confidence in handling complex information.
  • A proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills.
