Job Description

Transport Canberra seeks a highly motivated, experienced, and qualified professional to fill the position of Maintenance Manager South Region. The primary role is to manage bus fleet maintenance and repair functions, coordinating all workshop activities. The Maintenance Manager will also oversee staff management, providing leadership, motivation, and development.

This senior leadership role within Transport Canberra requires a person who can inspire, energise, and positively influence team and individual outcomes. Effective employee engagement skills are crucial for success in this role as is a value-based leadership style.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in multi-disciplinary industrial environments. They should be able to foster teamwork and continuous improvement, with industry experience and relevant qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Demonstrated Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

- Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a senior leadership role.

- Relevant Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business administration, engineering, or a related field.

- Trade Certificates and Licenses: Relevant trade certificates and licenses, such as a driver's license (C-class) and HR class.
