About the Position
We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Client Relationship Manager to become a vital part of the Sales team at Ahrens. This position will primarily engage with our Australian Dealer Network while also extending support to our international markets. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will cultivate robust working relationships both locally and globally to provide dealer and customer assistance, pinpoint new sales prospects, and enhance our distribution network.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet sales objectives by crafting competitive and lucrative sales proposals and tender documents.
- Assist our Dealer Network in achieving departmental sales goals and business strategies.
- Boost sales revenue by empowering dealers to expand their businesses within their designated territories.
- Consistently foster personal relationships with Dealers and provide support to enhance sales and grow their operations.
- Discover new sales opportunities in the relevant markets and collaborate with the Sales Manager to convert these opportunities into actual sales.
- Oversee our CRM systems to monitor activities within the sales channel.
- Serve as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders regarding account-related inquiries.
- Regularly engage with dealers to gather information and updates on their annual sales targets.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Project Management team to ensure seamless operational processes.
- Identify areas for improvement within our sales and account management practices.
- Evaluate and track territory performance, establishing action plans to address underperforming regions.
- Take a proactive stance in understanding each dealer's unique business needs and, in consultation with the sales manager, implement initiatives to assist them in enhancing their operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in a sales role within the Rural Infrastructure sector – experience in the water storage field is highly valued.
- Demonstrated success in sales or account management.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills – with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and establish a strong rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with proven experience in business mapping and execution.
- Results-oriented mindset.
