Regulatory Counsel Role

This position involves enabling a leading payments platform to create business opportunities while making ethical choices.

To succeed, you must have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as pragmatic and strategic thinking to advise stakeholders on regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor regulatory developments in legislative and policy environments and provide advice on their impact.
  • Represent the team on various workstreams and drive the regulatory strategy forward.
  • Operationalize regulatory requirements for both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, including regulatory engagement, strategy, and product launches.
  • Manage routine and ad-hoc regulatory requests and filings for both countries.
  • Advise on matters aligned with commercial and strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified as a lawyer in Australia.
  • Strong written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Research, statutory interpretation, and organization skills.
  • Ability to analyze policy issues.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a regulatory or legal role.
  • Working knowledge of financial services and fintech industries.
