Accounts Officer
As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves handling complex financial transactions and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, raising purchase orders, expense allocation, project costing, and weekly payment runs.
- Reconciliation of supplier and credit card accounts, processing of employee expense claims.
- Receive and process invoices as per the Delegations Authority of all intercompany invoices including expense allocation, and FX calculations.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances.
- Update cashflow with payments processed and forecast payments.
- Maintain an Inventory register to assist with stock management.
- Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and associated schedules.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of BAS returns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline financial operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar commercial role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and accounts payable best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines.
