Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced mechanical design engineer to join our team. If you find joy in taking things apart to see how they work, only to build them back again, and are passionate about robotics, this role is perfect for you.

Job Overview

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate mechanical design engineer to succeed. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality CAD mechanical designs to facilitate machine manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor) to design layouts, prepare general arrangement and 3D models, including assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings and bill of materials.
  • Ensure project specifications are implemented in each solution.
  • Lead communication and workflow between stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of design projects.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years of mechanical design drafting experience.
  • Mechanical background in design of production machinery, focusing on food and beverage.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting structural weldments and sheet metal components.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering machined components, including solid understanding of machining tolerances and practices.
  • Experience in using Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD.
  • The ability to perform tasks autonomously with minimal supervision.
