The Maritime Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing the execution of vessel assignments, ensuring safe and efficient operations, implementing operational plans, and evaluating results.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • USCG Master 200/500/1600 Oceans or Near Coastal license
  • 5 years experience as a Master or Operating Mate on towing vessels
  • Valid state driver's license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of vessel handling and navigation
  • Working knowledge of propulsion, auxiliary, and deck machinery
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to withstand exposure to varying weather conditions

Work Environment:

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and at night
  • Will require occasional call outs
