Renewable Energy Maintenance Specialist

This is a field-based role with regular travel to Chinchilla and the Western Downs region. The primary focus is on maintaining and servicing utility-scale battery storage sites, mainly Tesla Megapack.
The position requires working in medium and high voltage environments with a strong emphasis on safety. You will be troubleshooting and repairing equipment as defined by the service engineering team, performing complex electro-mechanical debugging and rework tasks.
You will work across Powerpack and Megapack Utility sites to ensure operations and maintenance requirements are met and that the fleet performs optimally. A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel to support other regional sites.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair equipment according to the service engineering team's instructions
- Perform complex electro-mechanical debugging and rework tasks requiring a high level of skill
- Work across Powerpack and Megapack Utility sites to ensure optimal fleet performance
- Certified Electrician (Cert III or higher) in Electrical/Electro Technology
- Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical maintenance experience, ideally within the Utility sector
- HV switching experience
- Valid driver's license
- Able to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
This position is ideal for Toowoomba-based electricians who are open to regular travel. Technicians will typically spend 4 nights per week onsite in Chinchilla, supporting Tesla's utility-scale battery storage sites.
