As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide senior nursing clinical leadership and work closely with managers and other senior clinicians to develop specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.

The ideal candidate will have current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification. They will also have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, advanced interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and be able to prioritize and problem-solve to manage complex clinical care needs of patients.
The role will involve working collaboratively with consumers, families, and service providers to deliver quality healthcare, ensuring access to services, supporting the workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage changing demand for services.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior nursing clinical leadership and work closely with managers and other senior clinicians to develop specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
- Develop and implement clinical management plans to manage complex clinical care needs of patients.
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families, and service providers to deliver quality healthcare.
- Support the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Relevant post-registration qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve to manage complex clinical care needs of patients
