Fifo Head Chef Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary operations in a busy workforce dining facility. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing a small team, and ensuring the delivery of nutritious and high-quality meals to the residents of the workforce accommodation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the kitchen team of 8-10 direct reports to prepare and deliver a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
- Design and plan menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of the workforce
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to a high standard
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Order and manage stock, control costs, and minimize wastage
- Mentor and develop junior kitchen staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally in workforce accommodation, large-scale catering, or remote locations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small kitchen team
- Excellent menu planning and cost control experience
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Availability to work on a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off) with accommodation provided
- Competitive salary package of $120k + super + KPI bonus
