About the Role:

Hudson Australia is seeking a skilled Government Communications Specialist to support our client in the government sector.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting communications action plans and associated collateral for a major project to improve the organisation's operational communications. This includes identifying, developing, and implementing operational communication activities, facilitating forums, surveys, and interviews with stakeholders, and working with subject matter experts to develop and deliver communication activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to support the organisation's operational communications.
  • Support the development of resources for staff, the community, and lawyers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication through various mediums.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality communication activities.
  • Contribute to the development of communications collateral, including reports, presentations, and other materials.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability in digital platform management within a government environment.
  • Experience working on a major transformation change project.
  • High-level written communication skills.
  • High-level computer literacy with Microsoft 365.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a communications role.

Remuneration: The successful candidate will be offered $60.00 per hour plus Super, dependent on experience. The assignment duration is up to 9 months, with an immediate start. The position offers a Melbourne CBD/Working From Home Arrangement.
