About the Role

AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Portfolio Governance Specialist to join our Finance & Governance department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders to provide valued governance support and advice.
  • Coach and train business stakeholders on governance requirements, tools, and processes.
  • Review and process Business Cases, Project Change Requests, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct periodic project reviews and governance checks to ensure reported project statuses are current and accurate.
  • Facilitate regular governance meetings and ensure corrective actions are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Maintain regular oversight on the level of compliance and effectiveness of governance processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of program and project management principles.
  • Strong grasp of portfolio governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of concepts related to project accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
