The Community Recovery Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing community resilience by developing and implementing initiatives that support disaster operations and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver community development initiatives to enhance resilience
- Implement a Community Resilience Network to support disaster operations and recovery
- Assist communities in rebuilding and recovering after a disaster
- Build strong relationships with key agencies involved in community recovery
- Collaborate and negotiate outcomes with diverse stakeholders
- Provide public education and awareness on disaster prevention and preparedness
Requirements:
- Experience in community development, capacity building, and project management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office and disaster management software
Benefits:

- LGOA Level 5/1 salary of $89,573 per annum
