The CAMHS Specialty Doctor role presents a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality care to young people experiencing mental health challenges.
Based at Poplar Adolescent Unit, you will be part of a dynamic team providing patient-centred services within a multidisciplinary framework.
Your responsibilities will include inpatient care, assessment, treatment planning, risk management and ongoing therapeutic interventions.
You will also have the support to pursue professional development interests and engage with educational establishments through shared appointments in teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialist services for the Trust, ensuring effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and optimal department functioning.
- Adhere to the Trust's agreed policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely attendance to out-of-hours responsibilities, including rota commitments where contracted.
- Provide agreed cover for colleague's periods of leave, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to audit and continuing medical education, staying up-to-date with best practices.
- Support the training of junior medical staff and medical students, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Pursue opportunities for research and teaching, enhancing your expertise and contributing to the field.
