Overview

Join to apply for the Clinician - CAMHS Eating Disorders Service role at Women's and Children's Health Network.

The CAMHS Eating Disorders Service is seeking a clinician (Psychologist/OT/Social Worker) to provide specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder, including assessment, education, counselling and group work.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder.
  • Provide assessment, education, counselling and group work.
  • Undertake discipline specific assessments as required to support understanding of presenting mental health and eating disorder issues.
  • Act as a consultant and resource to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education on child, adolescent and family mental health eating disorders.
  • Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
  • Provide outreach at CAMHS community team sites (e.g., Elizabeth, Port Adelaide and Enfield).
About You
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and contribute as a team member.
  • Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical theory and practice within the relevant discipline, including group work.
  • Knowledge of developmental theory and the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and family.
