The CAMHS Eating Disorders Service is seeking a clinician (Psychologist/OT/Social Worker) to provide specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder, including assessment, education, counselling and group work.
Responsibilities- Deliver specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with a diagnosed eating disorder.
- Provide assessment, education, counselling and group work.
- Undertake discipline specific assessments as required to support understanding of presenting mental health and eating disorder issues.
- Act as a consultant and resource to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education on child, adolescent and family mental health eating disorders.
- Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
- Provide outreach at CAMHS community team sites (e.g., Elizabeth, Port Adelaide and Enfield).
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and contribute as a team member.
- Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical theory and practice within the relevant discipline, including group work.
- Knowledge of developmental theory and the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and family.
- Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
- Salary package includes benefits up to $9,010 per FBT year plus $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses per FBT year.
