
Specialist CAMHS Physician

The role involves inpatient responsibilities, contributing to assessment, treatment planning, risk management, and ongoing therapeutic interventions.
This is a one year fixed term contract and unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people experiencing complex mental health challenges. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team including the Consultant, Specialty Doctor, Psychologists, therapists, nurses, and social workers to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
The ideal candidate should have experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues from various professional backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Observe the Trust's agreed policies and procedures.
- Provide, with consultant colleagues, a service in the specialty for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness and proper functioning of the department.
- Honour out-of-hours responsibilities, including rota commitments where contracted.
- Provide agreed cover for colleague's periods of leave.
- Participate in audit and continuing medical education.
- Contribute to the training of junior medical staff and medical students.
- Be involved in research and teaching where appropriate.
