About the Role:

This role reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager and supports one of the largest shopping centre owners in Australia. The ideal candidate may be currently working as a Centre Manager, Property Manager or Retail Manager looking to step up, or has contract experience in property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly inspect the centre to ensure exceptional presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with leasing agents on vacant space and work within set marketing budgets.
  • Assess and advise managers on significant issues, maintaining confidentiality when necessary.
  • Process rent reviews in a timely manner, following established guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and variance explanations in accrual and cash formats.
  • Manage tenant insurance and bank guarantee schedules effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational principles, risk management, and corporate governance practices.
  • Closely monitor and report on the financial position (Actual vs Budget).
  • Develop annual budgets for approval by the Regional Property Manager and Account Director.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree, such as a Bachelor of Business (Property), is preferred.
  • A Certificate of Registration (Agent's Rep) is essential.
  • A current Drivers Licence is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Property Industry, preferably including Retail experience.
  • Prior experience preparing complex budgets and comprehensive reports is highly valued.
  • Significant experience in negotiating leases and rent reviews is essential.

Compensation Package: $135k to $140k per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The estimated salary range is based on industry standards for senior retail centre management positions in the Mount Gambier area.
